Groups and Guilds have established themselves in the encampment at the edge of Sheridan Forest meeting the needs of most, however the guilds have need of help for the circles are near to collapse as their magics wane, the deal with the Djinn require two fist sized diamonds and then the circles cast to renew - a dangerous endeavor for such magics will draw the attention of creatures that lie in wait for when the safe haven is vulnerable.

A fledgling guard is attempting patrols, to keep the main roads open and keep watchful eye on the ancient travel gate, many have learned the gate is a two way device and upsetting things have stepped out. With a stable link to this realm planar armies of the Fellblade and the Ora have sent envoys seeking more aid in their wars.

Mysterious Rings have been found, but more are needed to bring them all together and open the door to an ancient dwarven vault, long since hidden beneath this forest of elves.

A dark cloud is slowly lifting over the Sun Runner encampment, one has come forward to attempt healing on the Chieftain that was found wandering the marsh nearly nude near the forest after his greatest hunters failed to return from scouting the Mists of Corruption. If there are those among you who wish to improve yourselve, to learn the laws of the land so that you may uphold them, to learn the proper forms of address and etiquette for dealing with the nobility.... then you may join me at the firepit on Sunday afternoon for enlightenment.

The School of Chivalry is just that- it will teach you to be upright, chivalrous citizens of these lands, and put you in a position where you would receive the training and mind-set to become squires, or even future nobility.

I am offering this as a free service to any adventurers attending the gathering. Please note that I am not looking for a squire but that does not mean other nobility may not be.

This is the first of four sessions that will be held once a gathering. For those looking to stand out, to be noticed, this is an excellent opportunity. As the season progresses, you will be given lessons in not just laws and etiquette, but also the Code of Chivalry as sworn by all Hinterlands nobility, as well as training in resolving difficulties that arise when holding a noble position and lands.

Members of the Blight, monsters, and those not lawful citizens of the Hinterlands or Evendarr need not apply.

Hey all, I was wondering if any archmages or high wizards were going to be at the gathering this coming weekend? I ask because I would like a formal magic cast to create a new polearm for me. I have all the components that I need (I think...), and am going to be at the gathering saturday evening and most of sunday. And if the caster is a trusted friend, I can send the components ahead of time.

Being a selected first aider on site I would like to do my due diligence in asking for those with health issues to contact me, either here or via pm if you're shy. Be it allergies that require an Epi-Pen or breathing problems such as asthma, I would like to know. Any medications or other health concerns (high blood pressure, diabetes, ect) would also be good things to know should any issue arise. The more information I have about you medically as an individual the faster I can react.

Of course it would be best that I never need to know any of this, but, I'd rather know.

From a positioning standpoint, this means NERO could be broadened to include younger aged markets but does undercut the "game" quality of it if 8yo are around. I think she just wants them to know what LARPing is, but, I mean, this could be a chance to broaden NERO into a day camp thing if there were people to run it. Anyway, strategy is up to the board and owners and managers.

"Game Grounds" will be this place. It's a social gaming cafe. It will offer cafe drinks, likely over-the-counter food, and alcohol as per a Dinning Room license (so only beer and wine I believe). In the common cafe area, with various tables and booths, customers can freely play tabletop RPG, board, or card games. Then, in the console area, we'll have couches and rent play time on the latest game consoles: Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3, as well the common computer area (as in not the team rooms). Next, for higher privacy and quality, there are premium rentable rooms with themed decor (medieval castle, renaissance laboratory, etc) as well as team computer rooms with 5 computer each (which may also be used to tournament play). Finally, the 3-story building will feature a walk-on roof where gamers can enjoy their beverages with a view of the Saint John river and much of the heritage district of Fredericton.
As we grow, new attractions will emerge. Are you familiar with what a `Microsoft Surface` is? Imagine a 40` tablet computer, with games especially designed for such a device as well as standard computer games. Or a Murder Mystery evening of LARPing with an in-period decor? As we see all kinds of social gaming communities both become known and continue to grow, other gaming opportunities will arrive and Game Grounds will be there to support them.

We're working on the Marketing Management Report and full Business Plan now. With luck and financing, we'll be able to purchase the building and begin renovations by June 2012. By September 2012, "Game Grounds" will be open for business in downtown Fredericton at 361 Queen street in a beautifully renovated 3-story building.

"Game Grounds" will be a Co-operative For-Profit Corporation. This means we're creating an effective profitable business designed to fulfill the needs of its members and customers. As well, big decisions are collectively voted on, managers are voted on, and portions of profits will be used as members direct- likely for upgrades, expansions, and returned profits. Co-ops use the idea of a member/user, showing the connection and input as gamer become both customers and part-owners.
